This recording was part of the residency and collaboration with Jacques Soddell. Following this studio time there was a final performance and artist presentation in November. The set up I used to capture my surround recordings involved the following microphones

2 x DPA 4060
2 x Rode NT4 (stereo)
1 x Sennheiser MKH 8020
1 x Sennheiser MKH30

The centre point of my recordings was created by using the two Sennheiser microphones in MS configuration. The front and rear of the MS set up each had an NT4 pointed outward - towards the front/rear. The furthest microphone was the DPA. These followed after the NT4, one either end in linear form.

Captured sounds included creaking pews, swinging doors, footsteps, morning birds, a wood carved recorder (instrument), the bell peal, voices and foley. Recording sessions included after hours (early nightfall) and Sunday morning mass. Traffic noise was a considerable problem.

Many thanks to Monsignor Frank Marriott and John Hogan for their patience and understanding towards my cause.....
